The French TGV High-Speed Train is probably one of the fastest high-speed trains in Europe. It is renowned for it comfort and speed and is one of the quickest ways of travelling through France and its neighboring countries . Is has a huge network which is now also expanding internationally and is a great alternative for short-distance flights. The TGV Train

Introduction

The TGV Train normally travels at about 300 km/h and is centered from Paris, from there you can reach most cities within 2-4 hours time, It also offers international service to Italy, Switzerland and Luxembourg and maybe in the future to Spain. It offers a bar carriage on almost all routes where you can buy snacks and beverages, The snacks and beverages are at normal prices and a wide selection is offered, Next to this there are also vending machines and power-points in all classes. TGV has got 3 travel classes to choose from:


TGV Pro Adult First Class( Domestic Routes Only):

On certain domestic routes this is a class beyond first class with large seats with extra legroom, drop down tables and power recline, Welcome Service to 7 TGV destinations in France, Access to business lounges at certain stations and a cold meal served at your seat which is not included in the price, You will also get a complimentary travel pack with: stain-removal kit, phone charger and sleeping kit and a Taxi reservation service on-board. All this is done in dedicated carriages which are separate from the main first class carriages. A great option if you are a business traveller!

Tip: There are certain double-decker TGV'S called TGV DUPLEX, Try to sit on the upper deck for a great view!.

First Class:

Standard First Class is a very good product with large seats equipped with drop-down tables and power recline. It also features power points in case you need to charge something or want to work. You can buy snacks and other beverages from the bar carriage where you can probably also sit down to enjoy your beverage! You can of course also go to the vending machines if you need to get something. You can choose between 4 different types of seating! You can probably make your choice when booking your journey!

Standard Class:

Standard Class is quite luxurious with comfortable seats with a lot of legroom and with power-points and drop-down tables suitable for laptops! You can buy snacks and beverages at the bar carriage or at the vending machines. You can choose between 2 different types of seating: Two pairs of seats facing each other across a table or Two pairs of seats with drop-down tables facing the backs of two other seats. You can probably make a choice when booking your journey!
